Brand design and implementation for technical manufacturer

Valeport are the UK’s leading manufacturer of oceanographic, hydrographic and hydrometric instrumentation and they have been a client of ours for over twenty years.

Their company logo design originally featured the fins of an impeller because one of their first pieces of kit was a current meter and you can still spot bright yellow impellers on their website and in their original catalogue. The present logo retains something of the helix trail of the original impeller but it also references the waveforms of the digital age. These days many of their titanium watertight tubes house solid state technology employing electromagnetic technology to measure the rate of flow in water. Their tide gauges use radar and their sound velocity sensors and profilers are world leaders, such is their mastery of leading edge technology in their watery environment.

Brand Design

The Valeport brand design reflects the clear focus of the company philosophy which puts the customer first and has seen it grow steadily since a management buy out in 1985. There is ongoing investment in product development and facilities and the company continues to expand its base beside the river Dart in Totnes. We work closely with Valeport’s marketing team to ensure all collateral employs clean and focussed design. Headlines, images, copy and specifications are clear, uncluttered and to the point.

Our branding work for Valeport over many years includes extensive photography, exhibition stands, data sheets, product catalogues, website banners, magazine advertising and assorted merchandise.
